Genesis  6. 8 .But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. 13 . So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. 17 .I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish. 18 .But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark-you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you.

May God extend Japheth’s[b] territory; may Japheth live in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be the slave of Japheth.” 29 .Noah lived a total of 950 years, and then he died.

Genesis 11. 1 . Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. 3 .They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4 .Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.” 5 .But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6 .The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 .Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”
