John 13.34 ‘A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

Luke 1.5 . In the time of Herod king of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron. 7 . But they were childless because Elizabeth was not able to conceive, and they were both very old. 11 .Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense. 12 .When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and was gripped with fear.

Luke 1.13 . But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. 15 . for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born. 16 . He will bring back many of the people of Israel to the Lord their God.

Luke 1.26 . In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 . to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 .The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” 29 .Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.

Luke 1.30. But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 .You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. Matthew 1.21 .She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” 22 .All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 .“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).

Luke 1.39. At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, 40 . where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. 41 .When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

Luke 2.1. In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 4 .So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 .He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 . While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,

Luke 2.7 . and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

Luke 2.21. On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise the child, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was conceived. 22 .When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord .24 .and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: “a pair of doves or two young pigeons.”

Luke 2.39 .When Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth. 40 . And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him. 41 . Every year Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem for the Festival of the Passover.
